The award for the best solo performance went to Ed Sheeran – And yet he didn’t take it home!

Ed Sheeran, for his “Shape of you”, won the best solo performance award and everyone is losing their minds!

The music fans are upset as they believe that the other four nominees, namely, Kelly Clarkson for “Love so soft”, Kesha for “Praying”, Lady Gaga for “Million Reasons” and Pink for “What about us” were more deserving candidates for the awards. And on top of all that, Ed Sheeran decided not to show up at Grammys to take the honour, and we’re still clueless about the reason behind as there’s not update even on Social media from his side.

Many Twitter users were seen complaining he’s not worthy of the award, stating other songs in nominations were far better than “Shape of you”.

He released his biggest album of all the time, ÷ (pronounced “divide”).On a single day; he scored two Grammy nods best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance for “Shape of You.” He also broke records in 2017, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for 33 weeks, the longest run in the history of Billboard.

In 2014, while performing in the Buckingham Palace, the best solo performance winner, Ed Sheeran revealed that, as a teenager, struggling to make his mark in the music industry, he slept rough under an arch next to the Palace. It is remarkable how from there, he has secured a place in everyone’s heart in such a beautiful manner.

Love him or hate him, but, we can’t deny being crazy about the “Shape of you” it was on everyone’s mind!
Also, recently Ed Sheeran shared great news on his Instagram feed, “Got me a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx,” He has got Engaged! Congratulations, Ed! But, can this be the reason behind him not showing up at the Grammys?
