Google has covered 85% of the market through Android and now it is finally coming up with Apple iMessage like feature.

Android devices are very much compatible both in terms of money and features. But the iMessage feature of Apple made them very unique in terms of other Android flagship brands.

Many Apple loyalists swear by iMessage and refuse to switch to Android solely because of this one feature. Google hasn’t succeeded in previous attempts to make this feature available on Android too. But now it’s ready to make a debut, the name of messaging app is ‘CHAT’.

There are several other supporters which would back up ‘CHAT’ for the frequent flow of service. Rich communication services (RCS) for SMS/MMS. Self-build carriers by Google are also used for better-unified experiences.

With the use of RCS large media or data file can be shared over the internet connection. The only difference between iMessage and Chat is that latter uses its own servers for iMessage while CHAT will run on carrier level.

Google took use of 55 carrier networks for the proper functioning of RCS. Airtel and Reliance Jio adopted the new standard. Vodafone is also added to the list of these networks.

No separate app will launch to make this feature available on Android devices instead of this. This feature will be available in default Messaging App. The feature will only work when data carriers will decide to switch it on which Google hasn’t confirmed yet.

Users who have Chat can share messages over it while devices without it can share the messages over default messaging app.

But CHAT can set a drawback to many famous social media apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram etc. But the absence of the end to end encryption can be a disadvantage as well because user’s data will not be safe and open to a malicious party.

Jio has already come up with his own messaging app which users can enrol by installing the app on their devices. Google is currently working to make this service more advanced and by enabling instant chat services too. Stickers and GIFs are also said to be a part of the offering.

If CHAT runs successfully then Google decade work will be paid off.
