Google new update allows users to mark their favourite picture in “Google photos” application by Google.
The feature allows users to mark their special image with “star” or “heart” sign. The company took to Twitter to announce their new specialization in Google Photos.
The symbol star will be used to denote as favourite ones while the heart is used for likeable one. Google also announced that the features will be available in this week.
All the star marked photos will share the same folder just like the heart shaped marked photos in Apple photos.
Users just have to tap the star icon on the top right bar after maximizing the selected picture. The picture will be added to the list of the favourite folder. However, favourites won’t work on photos that are shared with you, unless you add the same photo to your own Google Photos library.
The ‘heart’ feature is an updated form of ‘like’ feature which allows photos to be marked with a heart icon. The photos which are shared with you are only likeable one. Either it’s a single picture or whole album it would get a heart icon appear with your name at the bottom.
The company took a lot of time to make these features public. They have been working on it since October and it would be ending their work with the launch of features this week.
There are similar other features which to are added in “Google Photos”. The company announced those in their I/O developers conference recently. AI has also been used among these other features list which also has colour pop, and the ability to colourize old monochrome images.
