“Slender Man” stabbing case, 15 years old Wisconsin girl sentenced to 40 years

“Morgan Geyser” Wisconsin girl got sentenced to years in the mental hospital, this judgment is taken on Thursday after this 15-year-old girl along with her friend admitted that tried to murder a classmate by stabbing 19 times to fawn over the fiction character “Slender Man”.

Geyser was only 12 years old at the time of the attack in 2014. Judge “Michael Bohren” granted the maximum penalty which destroyed the youth of this girl.

Morgan Geyser is not alone in this case, her friend Anissa Weier are also with her and sentenced in December to 25 years in a mental health facility. Both of them explained that they had taken this decision “as an issue of community protection”.

“What we can’t forget is this was an attempted murder”, this statement is said by Bohren. Before this, he heard from doctors who talked about the progress of Geyser with her mental illness, at various level. Bohren also called the girl “a fragile person” whose hallucinations long history make her at a risk to hurt herself and even other people who are surrounded by her.

Before Geyser sentenced she spoke and broking down with the tear to apologized “Payton Leutner”, who is stabbed by both the girls. This what Geyser said using Leutner nickname “I just want to let Bella and her family know I’m sorry and I hope she’s doing well”.

What exactly happened?

Geyser and Weier, in 2014, ambush their classmate “Payton Leutner” in Waukesha’s which is a wooded park and stabbed her 19 times by using the kitchen knife. All the girls at the time are 12 years old, both of them admitted that “they left the Leutner for dead but she somehow managed to crawl out of the wood”.

After that Leutner tried to attract a passing bicyclist for help, said by the investigators.
Weier and Morgan both said that to become Slender Man’s “proxies” and to protect their families they felt they had to kill Leutner.
Prosecutors contend that Morgan should have to get the maximum sentencing for doing this crime and to protect other from her.

They also provided the testimony from the Dr Brooke Lundbohm who said that teen was hearing some voices in her head from someone named as “Maggie”.

On the other hand teen’s defence team try to defence them by saying that Geyser’s mental condition had improved and she no longer have psychotic symptoms.

Dr Kenneth Robins said that “I believe at the present time she is no more dangerous than any juvenile at her age”.
