Tea vendor risks passenger life, use train toilet water to make tea and coffee

An ugly incident took place in Bengaluru where a tea vendor caught up using toilet water to make tea instead of regular water.

The video uncovered on Wednesday showed that vendor used to carry empty water cans inside the toilet and used to fill up the several cans one after another.

This water was later used to make and coffee for the passengers as well as for railway members” said by the security and food staff of the South Central Railway (SCR).

The video got viral on social media and received very negative comments in response to such dirty act.

The incident had occurred in December last year, on board the Hyderabad Charminar Express at Secunderabad railway station.

As soon as the video got uncovered the probe was done against the contractor P Sivaprasad for the section between Secunderabad and Kazipet.

Along with vendor two other peoples are also be spotted in the video. After a detailed investigation vendor was charged to pay a fine the Rs 1 lakh as said by senior railways official, M Umashankar Kumar.

After this incident, another probe was done where the commercial department of SCR is looking up for such illegal and unauthorised hawking.

They have broadened their search to find out other hawkers who are not the part of SCR railway station.

“The other two hawkers whose identity is still unknown haven been dismissed” Mr. Kumar added.

A strict vigil was continuously being kept at various levels to ensure that no such incidents are repeated in the SCR Zone, the official said.
